Kartell launches with Sparkle!

Kartell has just launched its new Sparkle range of stools and tables and both are ready to order now. Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka these transparent beauties bounce light around the place they are in, sparkling like precious stones and come in a range of colours - crystal, amber, honey, sage and smoke. The table has a removable top so it can be used for storage. It retails at £165 whilst the stool is £155.00.

Cosy Copper

The interiors and furniture industry embraced Copper as one of the materials of choice for 2013. Following a plethora of new entries at the Milan Furniture Fair - and a fantastic public response to its charms - manufacturers have been quick to get their products to market - making a huge range of new designs available in this comfortably familiar material available. With a rich, cosy hue, whether it be spun, beaten, polished or brushed, copper brings warmth to any space. Zeitraum Furniture

We've added Zeitraum to our stable of European contemporary furniture brands. This Germany company, founded by Birgit Gämmerler in 1990. Started in an old flour-mill with loft-style rooms and with the waters of the river Loisach powering its underground turbines Zeitraum still has its base there today. The first designs for chairs, tables, beds and small furnishings were drafted there and the pieces made by local joiners. The making of the furniture was always difficult, the designers preferring clever wooden joints to simple screw-together solutions, or maybe even demanding the use of bone-glue as a natural alternative to conventional resin glues. The architect Peter Gaebelein was brought into the team in 1994 to coordinate production. In the following years reliable manufacturers were found in Germany, Austria and Italy, capable of producing the furniture in larger quantities, whilst still adhering to the strict Zeitraum quality standards. Today, the pure material quality that is Zeitraum's trademark is in huge demand, and the products enjoy international success.
Zeitraum isn't just furniture, Zeitraum is an attitude to life and the things around us. Tatou from Flos

This autumn sees the launch of a new range of lights from Flos by Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola. Tatou comes in two suspension versions (different sizes) as well as a table lamp and floor lamp. The inspiration behind the design is antique Japanese armour but the name 'Tatou' is actually French for Armadillo - the leather creature with a protective shell. Like its namesake Tatou gives the impression of having a protective coat but at the same time offers dynamism, lightness and flexibility for any lighting application. The 'shell' actually protects direct light to the eyes and produces a harmonic play on light and shadow through the perforated sections. This is made up of four identical elements which are all interwoven to form a unified dome shape which diffuses light both up and down. E15's New Svelte Sloane Dining Table

E15 have released a brand new dining table whose elegance has wooed us with its classic slim proportions and contemporary crisp lines. Designed by Philipp Mainzer, the Sloane Dining Table is made from solid wood available in either oiled oak or walnut, either way, the slender tabletop perfectly exhibits the detail of the European wood and accentuates the simplistic contours. The square legs interlock into each corner of the tabletop further strengthening its minimalist presence and blend flawlessly to create a perfect silhouette devoid of imperfections. The supporting structure is incorporated into the tabletop, as seen in the 'cut out' detailing where the legs seamlessly fit. Over time, the wood will ripen and age to give it an individual edge to become full of depth. and richness.

FOSCARINI Release the Duii Desk Lamp

Say hello to the Duii Desk Lamp which has well and truly caught our eye. Designed by Diesel for Foscarini it ouzes Diesel's industrial chic styling. Packed to the brim full of original features, it's been inspired by many classic favourites from the traditional Meccano set, from the articulated arm and wing screws to the rounded lamp - which closely resemblances a retro car headlight. A Mohican style peak and metal visor further accentuate Duii's presence. In addition a rounded tray incorporated into the base will neatly hold all those bits and bobs from paperclips to elastic bands. In glossy yellow or grey with an arm bending in five places it will finish your desk or office space in style and shower you with light when needed most!

Watch The Birdie!

Foscarini have a new collection of lights out but we love the Birdie! Designed by Luvovia and Roberto Palomba this gorgeously slender light is the epitome of elegance! as a Table Lamp or Floor Lamp both come in four colours - White, Grey, Wine and - the one we love the most - orange! On the stem is a branch which contains the on/off switch. We think they make great bedside or reading lamps and the floor lamp is great behind a sofa or where space is a bit limited.

Magis Vanity Chair

We love the Vanity Chair from Magis. Launched last year in Milan it's now available online. This years Milan Fair saw new introductions in red, yellow, green and blue colourways. Designed by Stefano Giovannoni Vanity combines a a graceful frame in polypropylene with a Kvadrat fabric upholstered seat. Used singularly - we're thinking this makes a perfect dressing table chair - or in a dining room context this in one design with an elegance which will never fade.
