Following a plethora of new entries at the Milan Furniture Fair - and a fantastic public response to its charms - manufacturers have been quick to get their products to market - making a huge range of new designs available in this comfortably familiar material available. With a rich, cosy hue, whether it be spun, beaten, polished or brushed, copper brings warmth to any space. Cell Shelving from Swedish Company String has been called 'the world's most beautiful shelving' and 'a pearl drape for books'. As with all good design the beauty of Cell lies in its simplicity. Strong white steel shelves are supported on tensile steel wires - cleverly spaced by steel ball-bearings which run like a string of pearls along the length of the wires. Cell comes in basic compositions which can be added to and extended as you desire but we think it's fine lines, unadulterated simplicity and slender profile make Cell an absolute winner and future design classic.

Zaha Hadid's Tide Comes In

The Tide Shelving System by celebrated architect Zaha Hadid has just been released by Magis. An ingenious modular system Tide consists of a single square unit which can be positioned with other units to create your composition. Each unit has Hadid's signature 'wave' which bisects it. When several units are placed together these waves fuse to form shelves. In glossy red, white or black Tide can be wall hung or floor standing.

For those daunted by String Shelving we've made buying it simpler with different sections for the Modular system, split into the three panel colours (black white and grey). From there you can buy your complete system. For those familiar with String we've also added a Components Section where you can buy the individual elements too.
